2025 Pitch Deck Accelerator

A new kind of lab program for filmmakers.

Turtle Run’s Pitch Deck Accelerator is an initiative dedicated to helping independent filmmakers and storytellers move one step closer from development to production by delivering a tangible outcome: a professionally designed pitch deck that sets you apart when the right doors do open. If you’re serious about presenting your vision in its best light—whether to financiers, production partners, or creative collaborators—this program is for you.

It doesn't matter if you're a screenwriter, director, producer, actor, an editor with a dream of being on set directing, an assistant who hasn't made something of their own in years – if you need a pitch deck to advance your project, apply now.

We are currently accepting project submissions, and the application is designed to only take you a few minutes to complete.

Program and Application Information

About This Opportunity

The Pitch Deck Accelerator selects three projects each application cycle to receive a custom-designed digital pitch deck. Participants will collaborate one-on-one with Tyler Rabinowitz, a writer, director, and producer with over seven years of experience creating high-impact pitch decks. Tyler has helped first-time directors secure financing for feature films that have premiered at major festivals like SXSW, supported veteran showrunners in getting their next hit series greenlit, and crafted commercial pitch decks for AdAge A-List production companies, including campaigns for Super Bowl spots and global brands.

Please note that applying does not guarantee participation in the Pitch Deck Accelerator. Projects will be reviewed and go through an adjudication process, and then top projects each cycle are selected.

Why A Pitch Deck Matters

In a crowded marketplace, a script alone isn’t always enough to convince people to come aboard. A strong pitch deck:

  • Captures Your Vision
Gatekeepers should understand your story’s visual style, tone, and essence at a glance.
  • Shows Professionalism
Present yourself as someone who has done the homework, thought through logistics, and can communicate clearly.
  • Amplifies Impact
When you do connect with industry contacts—be it via pitch meetings, labs, fellowships, or networking—an impressive deck can give you the edge you need.

When To Apply

Submissions for the 2025 cycle are currently open, with the following deadlines (all in 2025):

  • Early Bird: February 28 — $55
  • Regular: March 31 — $65
  • Late: April 30 — $75
  • Extended: May 31 — $85

We plan to announce selected projects by September 2025.

How To Apply

We’ve kept our initial application brief, so you can submit in just a few minutes:

  1. Screenplay or Treatment (PDF)
  2. Logline (max. 500 characters)
  3. Applicant Bios (max. 1,500 characters each)
  4. Optional: Links to IMDb or personal portfolios

Semi-Finalists will be asked for an extended synopsis, look book references, and will have the opportunity to share an updated draft of their screenplay or treatment.

Finalists will be invited to a virtual interview to discuss their vision in more detail. If there are additional creative team members who intend to actively participate in the pitch deck creative process (i.e. giving notes), we strongly encourage that they also participate in the interview.

Selected participants are notified and announced by Summer 2025. Please note that we do not provide script or project feedback.

Who Should Apply

Independent storytellers from any background or experience level who have a compelling project and need a polished pitch deck. This includes:

  • Screenwriters, Directors, Producers
  • Writer-Directors
  • Creative Teams (any combination of the above)
  • Actors transitioning into writing/directing
  • Cinematographers expanding into directing
  • Commercial Directors stepping into feature or long-form content
  • Industry Assistants working on their own material

All genres and formats are welcome, from features and shorts to episodic series and documentaries—even if your project is partially shot and needs finishing funds.

What Selected Projects Can Expect

Focused Design Workflow
We operate on an industry-standard timeline to deliver a refined pitch deck. This is detailed under the "Where and How Long" dropdown.

No Lengthy Commitments
There are no ongoing labs, workshops, or mandatory events. Once the pitch deck is delivered, the collaboration concludes.

Complete Creative Ownership
Turtle Run Picture House doesn’t claim any stake in your project. You retain full control of your content and direction.

Where and How Long

All work is handled remotely, generally following a four-day sprint (though individual timelines may shift slightly):

Day 1

  • Introductory call with Tyler
  • Initial visual mood boards or design references by end of day

Day 2

  • First draft of the deck shared for feedback

Day 3

  • Revisions and refinement

Day 4

  • Final polish and delivery of all files
